Motivation is unreliable, it shows up some days and ghosts you on others. Routine is what carries you when it doesn't. When your morning, your warm-up, and your wind-down are already decided, you stop wasting energy deciding and start compounding. The same small actions, done daily, quietly stack into a completely different athlete.
That's the secret almost nobody wants to hear: it's not the one big day, it's the boring repeated one. A ritual takes it a step further than a routine, it's a routine you do on purpose, with meaning. Lacing your boots the same way, the same breath before you step on, the same three affirmations. The action tells your nervous system: it's time, I'm her now.
Be intentional with your time, too. Your hours are energy, and where you spend them is who you become. Protect the reps that matter, and let the rest go.

The Science
Routines reduce decision fatigue and anxiety: when the next step is already decided, the brain spends its energy on performing instead of choosing. Consistent cues also train the body to drop into a focused state on command.
The Practice
A ritual is a promise you keep to yourself. Repeated with intention, it becomes the doorway you walk through to become her.
Try It Today
Build one tiny morning ritual and one pre-game ritual, three steps each, and do them exactly the same for a week.
